Have A Good “Nite” At Aqueduct (3/7)

Clear and fast on a beautiful day at Aqueduct. Only went 1 for 11 on Saturday so I will try and do much better today!

In race 8, The Stymie, Nite Light (#4) drops back to 1 1/8 miles from all those marathon stakes, is 2 for 3 at the distance and can rate just off the leaders and post the victory. I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with Giant Chieftan (#3) and Reflect Times (#2).

In race 7, Good Karma (#6) gets plenty of pace with some stretch-out sprinters at a mile and 70 yards — I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with Hittin the Note (#3). Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Fast and firm at Gulfstream with another difficult handicapping card on tap. Only went 2 for 10 on Saturday so I will try and do better today!

In race 10, Show the Way J (#7) can stay close to a moderate pace, goes out for Bill Mott who reaches for his main man Desormeaux — I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with Saint Jude (#4).

A touch of Spring today in New York where it’s sunny and fast at Aqueduct with a competitive 11 race card on tap! In race 4, The Grade 3 Toboggan, Elusive Warning (#2) is 2 for 2 on the inner track and gets an insane pace to run at — I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with Wall Street Wonder (#4).

Getting The “Upper” Hand At Gulfstream (3/6)

Fast and firm — a beautiful day in Florida with a very competitive card at Gulfstream and lots of great ways to make money. In race 7, The Grade 3 “Herecomesthebride” at 1 1/8 miles on turf, Upperline (#6) closed a lot of ground in her last against many of these, even with a slow pace, gets an extra 16th today, goes second off the layoff and puts the blinkers on — I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with Check The Label (#3) and In The Rough (#4).

In race 1, Georgian (#2) isn’t exactly a win machine, but gets the perfect pace scenario today to score from off the pace at 6 1/2 furlongs. I’m keying in the early double and pick 3 and playing an exacta box with Sir Winston (#8). Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Time to look back at some stats for the first two months of the year. It has been my goal to put a premium on finding value when making my picks rather than settling for shorter prices horses on top. My percentages may have been impacted a little bit, but the results are evident.

Since January 1st, I have been handicapping on weekends and the occasional holiday. I have concentrated on cards at both Aqueduct and Gulfstream — each day picking the entire card and identifying two best bets for the day. Here are the results:

Gulfstream:

Overall – 38/160 (+ $42.20 ROI)

Best Bets – 6/34 (+ $41.80 ROI)

Aqueduct:

Overall – 35/151 (- $12.90 ROI)

Best Bets – 9/34 (+ 19.50 ROI)

Combined (both tracks):

Overall – 73/311 (+ $29.30 ROI)

Best Bets – 15/68 ( + $61.30 ROI)

I am very proud to have maintained a flat bet profit for combined picks at both tracks and have a whopping 45% return on 68 Best Bets! Thanks to all my family and followers for all their support. Please tell people about the site and I will try and keep up the good work!

“Expand” Your Winnings At Gulfstream (2/28)

A drying out main track and a good turf course — I’m handicapping without the benefit of scratches and with the assumption that all races with remain on the turf. Disregard any of the last 4 races if any they are switched to the main track.

In race 9, The Mac Diarmida, Expansion (#8) is in great form and can repeat at 1 3/8 distance on turf — I’m keying in the late double and pick 3 and playing an exacta box with Winchester (#2).

In race 6, Platinum Couple (#5) has won going from route to sprint and gets a good pace to run at — I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with Nikosi Reigns (#9) and Crazy Coyote (#7).

Fast and firm at Gulfstream — the big game in town with the cancellation of Aqueduct. The later races seem more competitive so concentrate on those for the best returns.

In race 9, The Very One, Long Approach (#4) ran fourth in this race last year from post 11, gets inside today and a good pace to run at to make amends. I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with Proud Lisa (#1) and Kiawah Cat (#12).

Fast and firm at Gulfstream. Listed 5 winners in a row on Saturday’s card (races 6-10), 3 on top, including the winner of The Fountain Of Youth at 7-2. Unfortunately, both my best bets lost so I will try and do better today.

In race 9, The Ladies Turf Sprint, Life Lesson (#6) is a 5 furlong turf specialist who benefits from the scratch of Easy Ashley — can win from close range at a very nice price. I’m keying her in all doubles and the late pick 3 and playing an exacta box with Legally Blanca (#10) and Glitter City (#8).
