Jun 15th, 2019 | By | Category: Belmont, Today's Picks

Fast and firm for the Saturday card — as memories of a great Belmont Stakes Day fade away, back to the reality of mediocre cards in NY….betting Churchill tonight so I will be posting.

At Belmont, in race 8, Calamity Kat (#6) goes for underrated connections and there is enough pace to set up late run — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 9 and 10.

In race 7, Hoboe (#7) just missed in return and will be a decent price because of the Chad Brown runner — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 2 and 3.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 4, 2 and 1

Race 2: 5 with 1A and 6

Going “Nutz” At Belmont (6/9/19)

Jun 9th, 2019 | By | Category: Belmont, Today's Picks

Fast and firm for the Sunday card — what a day yesterday for the Belmont: listed 12 winners, 3 on top (including the Belmont winner at 10-1) and listed all the running doubles, pick 3′s, pick 4′s, pick 5′s and the $36,000 pick 6.  The best pick I made didn’t even win — it was my second choice in race 8 that blew up the toteboard given some heavy favorites who won.  Anyway, back to earth today, so let’s see how I do.

In race 8, Nutzforboltz (#7) will be a big price and ran his best race off similar layoff last time and lures Ortiz — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play across the board, plus in an exacta box with #’s 5 and 1.

In race 6, Bold Daddy (#8) cuts back for crafty turf sprint trainer and will also be a decent price — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 6 and 5.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 5, 6 and 4

Race 2: 5, 8 and 6

Race 3: 3, 1 and 4

Race 4: 7, 8 and 1

Race 5: 5, 9 and 8

Race 6: 8 (Best Bet) with 6 and 5

Race 7: 6 (Best Bet) with 5 and 3

Race 8: 7 (Best Bet) with 5 and 1

Race 9: 2, 4 and 3

Race 10: 4, 1 and 9

“Bruce” Springs Upset At Belmont (6/8/19)

Jun 8th, 2019 | By | Category: Belmont, Today's Picks, Triple Crown

Fast and firm for the Belmont Stakes card — a tremendous 13-race extravaganza with grade 1′s galore (including the Met Mile which could be the best race of the year>  A clear inside speed bias on main track yesterday which played havoc with my picks. Only one winner on top and not much else, so let’s see what I can do today to atone!

In race 10, The grade 1 Manhattan, Robert the Bruce (#3) is one of 3 for Chad Brown and you can throw out last two on soft courses which he despises — back on firm course today and a 5-1 price is an absolute gift, call to upset Bricks and Mortar (#8) who may be the best turf horse in the country and always needs racing luck with his late run — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 4 and 8.

In race 9, The Grade 1 Metropolitan Mile, Firenze Fire (#7) is an absolute monster at Belmont and should sit an absolutely perfect trip right behind a brutal pace and hold off the closers late — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 3 and 4.

In race 11, The Grade 1 Belmont Stakes, Sir Winston (#7) is bred to run all day and his Peter Pan showed he is in good form and likes Belmont — call to post upset in tough race — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 3 and 10.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 3, 6 and 1

Race 2: 2, 4 and 9

Race 3: 5 with 6 and 4

Race 4: 6, 4 and 1

Race 5: 4, 1 and 2

Race 6: 6 (Best Bet) with 2 and 8

Race 7: 8, 7 and 2

Race 8: 11, 8 and 1

Race 9: 7 (Best Bet) with 3 and 4

Race 10: 3 (Best Bet) with 4 and 8

Race 11: 7, 3 and 10

Race 12: 1 (Best Bet) with 5 and 7

Race 13: 7, 6 and 1

Fast and firm for an incredible 11-race card on the day before the Belmont Stakes — only 1 winner on top yesterday, but we beat the 1-9 shot and listed some nice exactas, but need to do better today.

In race 8, the Grade 2 True North, Whitmore (#7) should absolutely win this with a nice stalking trip behind all the speed, but demand value because he may not be the same horse this year — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 8 and 2.

In race 10, The grade 2 Belmont Gold Cup, Canessar (#9) can run all day and Rosario is a big upgrade — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 6 and 5.   Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 2: 8, 7 and 4
