Holding A King’s “Ransom” At Belmont (6/9/18)

Jun 9th, 2018 | By | Category: Belmont, Today's Picks, Triple Crown

Fast and firm for the incredible 13-race card on Belmont Stakes Day — had a productive day yesterday with two nice winners on top and listed the late pick 5 for over $7,000, so I will try and keep up the momentum today!  The big race should be won by Justify considering the pace will be modest, so try and find the horses underneath to complete the number.  Maybe Tenfold (#7) will be the best value to get a piece.  There are many other betting opportunities on the undercard, so let’s talk about that!

In race 9, The Grade 1 Metropolitan Handicap, Ransom the Moon (#8) ships in from west coast in great form and should get a perfect stalking spot behind a reasonable pace and get the jump on the closers at a nice price — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 10 and 5.

In race 10, The Grade 1 Manhattan, Robert Bruce (#1) remains undefeated and his first race in the states showed his class and talent — he is this good!  Key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 10 and 8.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 9, 1 and 6

Race 2: 6, 3 and 2

Race 3: 7, 1 and 6

Race 4: 7, 5 and 3

Race 5: 9, 3 and 2

Race 6: 5 (Best Bet) with 1 and 2

Race 7: 3 with 11 and 1

Race 8: 3 (Best Bet) with 7 and 5

Race 9: 8 (Best Bet) with 10 and 5

Race 10: 1 (Best Bet) with 10 and 8

Race 11: 7, 1 and 4

Race 12: 5 (Best Bet) with 10 and 3

Race 13: 3 with 8 and 11

Expecting So Much “More” At Belmont (6/8/18)

Jun 8th, 2018 | By | Category: Belmont, Today's Picks

Fast and firm for the stakes packed 11-race card on the day before the Belmont Stakes — not a great day at all yesterday and it reminds me that handicapping is not easy,  However, historically, I have my best days when the racing is the most competitive, so let’s revisit after tomorrow to see what transpired.

In race 8, The grade 2 True North, Whitmore (#8) gets a race loaded with speed and can run these down if able to stay close enough early — price will be right.  Key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 3 and 2.

In race 4, Dowse’s Beach (#4) cuts back to sprint after comeback and may revert to stalking tactics in a turf event packed with speed — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 3 and 8.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 4, 8 and 7

Race 2: 13 (Best Bet) with 6 and 7 (use 2 if 13 scratches)

Race 3: 6, 2 and 8

Race 4: 5 (Best Bet) with 3 and 8

Race 5: 7, 2 and 6

Race 6: 8, 6 and 1

Race 7: 12, 8 and 9

Race 8: 8 (Best Bet) with 3 and 2

Race 9: 8, 5 and 2

Race 10: 5, 8 and 1

Race 11: 5, 7 and 2

Things Are “Looking Up” At Belmont (6/7/18)

Jun 7th, 2018 | By | Category: Belmont, Today's Picks

Fast and firm for a very good 9 race card beginning the countdown to the Belmont Stakes on Saturday.  I have been coming around to my better handicapping form the last few times I have handicapped here, so let’s see how I do today!

In race 6, The Astoria, Eyeinthesky (#3) showed a great stalking gear in debut and gets a wicked pace to set up late move here — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 1 and 7.

In race 7, The Grade 3 Intercontinental, Delectation (#7) goes for red hot connections and the comeback race was a real useful tightener for the added ground today — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 10 and 4.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 5, 4 and 3

Race 2: 5, 2 and 1

Race 3: 5, 3 and 8

Race 4: 6, 4 and 8

Race 5: 8 (Best Bet) with 2 and 11

Race 6: 3 (Best Bet) with 1 and 7

Race 7: 7 (Best Bet) with 10 and 4

Race 8: 6, 8 and 5

Race 9: 10, 5 and 4

An “Unforeseeable” Winner At Belmont (6/3/18)

Jun 3rd, 2018 | By | Category: Belmont, Today's Picks

Fast and firm for the Sunday card — came back to life with 4 winners on top yesterday ( including my best bet), so let’s see if I can keep it up today!

In race 9, Unforeseeable (#12) needed last and fits with these — adds blinkers and Castellano for the money run.  Key in all late multi-race wagers and play an exacta box with #’s 5 and 6.

In race 2, Zeven (#12) got cooked in a torrid speed duel in return, but meets a field without much pace today and could wire them — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 5 and 3.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 6, 4 and 3

Race 2: 12 (Best Bet) with 5 and 3

Race 3: 5, 6 and 3

Race 4: 4, 2 and 1

Race 5: 6, 9 and 8

Race 6: 10, 6 and 5

Race 7: 1, 6 and 5

Race 8: 3, 6 and 1

Race 9: 12 (Best Bet) with 5 and 6
