Fast and firm at Monmouth — figured I’d handicap today since the Saratoga card has so many unknowns.

In race 2, Raybern’s Gold (#4) gets and easy pace today and will turn tables on Straight Arrow (#6). I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with #6.

In race 7, Another Love (#10) keeps improving and runs a good race every time — can prevail over winners today with a nice stalking trip. I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with Afternoon Treat (#11) and Mumbo (#2).

Making A “Strong Commitment” At Monmouth (8/1)

Cloudy with a chance of a few showers at Monmouth with an incredible 14 race card on tap for Haskell Day. The weather shouldn’t have much effect on the track conditions — but maybe a little rain could change my luck since I only had two winners on Saturday’s card and wasn’t close in many of the races. But the same was true with my Saratoga picks on a day overall which felt like I was handicapping with Rod Serling in some horrible episode of the Twilight Zone. Oh well, I really like this card today so let’s see what happens. If you hear dodododo after the first race, turn off your tv set and run!

In race 5, Strong Commitment (#4) goes second off a layoff and had an excuse in comeback run on turf — I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with Super Doc (#7) and Wild Entry (#11).

In race 7, The Jersey Derby, Two Notch Road (#1) gets a cozy inside post and is the main speed — may be hard to catch in a good field on turf. I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with Fantastico Roberto (#6).

In race 4, Hung Jury (#7) gets a good pace to run at and is improving every start — I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with Partyallnightlong (#4).

A “Red Hot” Day At Monmouth (7/31)

Fast and firm on a beautiful Saturday at Monmouth — the card is mediocre as they get ready for Haskell Day on Sunday.

In race 1, Red Hot Baby (#8) ships in for good connections and should get a great stalking trip to beat the local talent. I’m keying in the early double and playing an exacta box with Gia Nina (#7).

Let’s Be “Frank” At Monmouth (7/18)

Clear and fast at Monmouth with another impossible handicapping card. Since they went to a three day week, Monmouth has captured this handicapper’s heart with great cards and exciting racing — I’ll try to do better on the win end today as Saturday’s top picks ran second several times, but if you played up and down, you hit some nice exactas.

In race 8, a very contentious turf claimer with lots of reliable runners, B B Frank (#2) can get good position in a field lacking lots of speed runners and finish the job today at a good price. I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with Storming Off (#7) and Zappa (#1).

In race 4, Air Lord (#5) may be the safest bet all day and should beat bottom level claimers at a short price. I’m singling in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with You Better Believe (#13).

Fast and firm at Monmouth with another competitive Saturday card to be run in very hot conditions. Starting to get excited about Saratoga next week, but I will try and keep my focus on picking some winners today!

In race 6, Upgrade (#5) has burned some money in last 4 starts but has run well and firgures to sit the perfect stalking trip at another short price — I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with Grand Pride (#2).

In race 12, Jersey Brother (#7) just missed in last start at this distance and goes 3rd off the layoff — ready to get the job done today. I’m keying in the late pick 3 and pick 4 and playing an exacta box with Score the Gold (#9) and Hello Handsome (#10).

A Day To “Remember” At Monmouth (7/11)

Fast and firm at Monmouth with a very challenging card on tap for Sunday. Didn’t have a great win day yesterday, but one of my best bets did win at almost 4-1 and did list a nice pick 3 from races 8-10. I’ll try to do better today.

In race 4, Remember Shirley (#6) gets a blistering pace to close into and can turn the tables on Aunt Mabel (#11). I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with Mabel and Gia Nina (#12).

Fast and firm at Monmouth at this point on Saturday’s card — there are thunderstorms in the forecast so please keep track on any changes in track conditions. Since the turf course is rock hard. I will handicap assuming they will keep all races on the turf so play accordingly.

Fast and firm the day after Independence Day at Monmouth — but I still have our country on my mind. Only two winners on top on Sunday, but I hit the exacta and trifecta boxes in races 6 and 10 and Monday’s card has lots of opportunities to make money.

In race 9, The Mr. Prospector, Cherokee Country (#2) goes second off the layoff and ships back to a track he loves and gets a scorching pace scenario to set up his late run — I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with Roaring Lion (#8).

Fast and firm on Independence Day — hope everyone enjoys the celebration today and maybe win a few dollars! Had a good day yesterday with 4 winners on top including Gone Astray in race 11 at 7-1. Also had a cold tri in race 10, cold exacta in races 10 and 11, plus an overall flat bet win profit of over $16! I will try and keep it up today!

In race 8, Red Elephant (#6) goes third off the layoff and should go back to rating tactics in a sprint filled with speed — I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with Footcandles (#10) and Proud Ruler (#4).
