Hanging On A “Cliff” At Churchill (6/27/20)

Jun 27th, 2020 | By | Category: Churchill, Today's Picks

Fast and firm for the competitive Stephen Foster card at Churchill — haven’t handicapped here for several weeks, but won’t be afraid to pick some prices since it has happened a lot here since reopening.

In race 11, Crystal Cliffs (#5) ran well here in turf debut for white hot trainer and should make it two in a row — key in all late multi-race wagers and play an exacta box with #’s 6 and 11.

In race 5, Tonaltalitarian (#1) has been running late in all 3 starts, but has been breaking slowly — gets blinkers and has the numbers to win this at a decent price.  Key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 2 and 7.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 3, 5 and 6

Race 2: 3, 2 and 8

“Colt” Is The Right Horse At Churchill (5/31/20)

May 31st, 2020 | By | Category: Churchill, Today's Picks

Fast and firm for the Sunday card — an unbelievable parade of long shots yesterday and yours truly had two best bets that paid $28.20 and a whopping $53.40.  As I have said over the last few weeks here, don’t be afraid to bet the long ones since having a high winning percentage is not happening here.  15/84 on all win bets with a whopping $3.18 ROI and only 5/27 on best bets but an incredible ROI of $4.12.  Let’s see if we can pick a few more on top today with another tough card to handicap.

In race 7, Coltonator (#7) has faced much better and needed last — should run these down late here at around 3-1.  Key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 1 and 6.

In race 9, Saracosa (#7) finds the right spot against these, but needs to stay close enough to prevail late — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 5 and 2.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 6 (Best Bet) with 5 and 4

Race 2: 5, 3 and 1

Race 3: 6, 2 and 12

Race 4: 10, 9 and 8

Race 5: 8, 6 and 9

Race 6: 11, 8 and 6

Race 7: 7 (Best Bet) with 1 and 6

Race 8: 1, 2 and 3

Race 9: 7 (Best Bet) with 5 and 2

Race 10: 1, 4 and 11

Answering The “Bell” At Churchill (5/30/20)

May 30th, 2020 | By | Category: Churchill, Today's Picks

Fast and firm for the Saturday card — amazing how my pattern of picking a small percentage of winners at the meet is continuing (11/73) but those winners have been double digit bombs like the $38.80 winner on Thursday, so my ROI is a profitable $2.30!  So, don’t be afraid to bet some big prices as long as the trend continues and hopefully, a few best bets will win too.

In race 7, The Grade 3 Winning Colors, Bell’s the One (#4) is 3 for 3 at this distance on the main track and should get a fast pace to set up late run at a big price — key in all doubles and pick 3′s, bet across the board and play an exacta box with #’s 8 and 7.

In race 9, Hidden Facts (#13) draws in and should get a perfect stalking trip and prevail late under Castellano — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 5 and 6.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 7, 5 and 3

Race 2: 4, 2 and 3

Race 3: 1, 4 and 10

Race 4: 1, 4 and 5

Race 5: 10, 4 aqnd 1

Race 6: 10, 5 and 2

Race 7: 4 (Best Bet) with 8 and 7

Race 8: 3, 7 and 1

Race 9: 13 (Best Bet) with 5 and 6

Race 10: 6, 10 and 7

Race 11: 7 (Best Bet) with 1 and 2

On The “Road” To The Winner’s Circle At Churchill (5/28/20)

May 28th, 2020 | By | Category: Churchill, Today's Picks

Fast and firm for the Thursday card — looks like the bad weather will hold off until late in the card, so all races remain on the turf.  Only 11 for 63 over 6 cards that I have handicapped here, but a 33% return on investment because there have been some nice double digit winners.  Had a $33 best bet win on Monday, so even though I am 3/21 on those picks, I am just about back to even.  Need to do better on those picks, but don’t be afraid to bet long ones on top given the first two weeks here!  Today is another difficult card, so let’s see how I do!

In race 5, Grats Road (#4) loves the local surface and may best best at a one turn mile and gets enough speed to set up late run at a price — key in all doubles and pick 3′s, play across the board and play an exacta box with #’s 7 and 1.

In race 7, I.mthekatsmeow (#7) is not the fastest of these, but 7 furlongs may be great equalizer with all the speed signed on and these connections have been profitable — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 4 and 3.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 6, 3 and 5

Race 2: 11, 6 and 3

Race 3: 7, 9 and 4

Race 4: 8, 12 and 7

Race 5: 4 (Best Bet) with 7 and 1

Race 6: 6, 5 and 1

Race 7: 7 (Best Bet) with 4 and 3

Race 8: 5 with 9 and 1

Race 9: 5, 2 and 8

Race 10: 12 (Best Bet) with 5 and 2
