Fast and firm at Belmont today — trying to stay hot from Sunday’s card where I finished listing the late pick 4 for $221.50 and had 3 winners on top which made for a flat bet profit on the day.  Monday’s card looks like a big day for Dominguez at very short prices — so if you are to make any money you have to try and beat him on one or two favorites.

In race 5, Ricoriatoa (#7) will be second choice to Keeping the Honor (#6) with Dominguez, but has a speed advantage and can lead all the way on the turf.  I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing a big exacta box with the favorite.  No other best bets on an uninspiring card — here it is:

Fast and firm on Independence Day — hoping for some fireworks at the track!  Did pretty well at Belmont on Saturday — listed 4 winners in a row from races 2-5, two on top with two pick 3’s over $258 and the pick 4 that paid $736. My buddy Richie hit a “home run” on the pick 3 and pick 4 so I’m very happy!  I’ll try and keep the momentum going today!

In race 8, Song for Pupcake (#4) goes second off a long layoff and ran well last time with an excuse — there’s enough speed to run at and should get up.  I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with Lisa Jean (#7) and In Te Domine (#1A).

In race 9. Bonnie Blue Flag (#1) ships in for Bob Baffert after a career best first time on dirt — can upset Franny Freud (#3) as the second choice.  I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with (#3).  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Fast and firm at Belmont with a decent 10 race card to handicap.  I am trying to get hot at Belmont before they head upstate to the Spa, but my picks have been pretty poor the last several weeks — let’s see how I do today.

In race 9, Upper Gulch (#3) could be the main speed in a paceless 1 1/4 mile race on the turf — has run two good races since the layoff and will be a really good price.  I’m keying in the late double and pick 3 and playing an exacta box with Sonic Sound (#1) and Dance Pass (#5).
