Being “Mocked” At Saratoga (8/3/17)

Sep 3rd, 2017 | By | Category: Saratoga, Today's Picks

Sloppy and off the turf for the last Sunday card of the meet — too bad with all the scratches, but surprising still a pretty good card to handicap.  3 winners on top yesterday, including the 5-1 winner of the Spinaway, but my best pick was a best bet in race 7 who ran second at 8-1 (exacta was $116).  But, I only went 1 for 5 on best bets and they have been dismal this meet on top — surprisingly, as I have been mentioning all meet, playing all best bets up and down have resulted in a tremendous return, so keep that in mind over the last two days at The Spa.  Let’s see if we can get a best bet home today at a decent price.

In race 7, Mockery (#11) had useful debut and will like more ground and the slop — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 1 and 3.

In race 9, Libby’s Tail (#7) needed last and still ran great off the layoff and will get up in time today — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 8 and 6.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 5, 4 and 1

Race 2: 14, 12 and 11

Race 3: 5, 6 and 3

Race 4: 7, 6 and 2

Race 5: 8, 5 and 7

Race 6: 7, 10 and 12

Race 7: 11 (Best Bet) with 1 and 3

Race 8: 2, 10 and 1A

Race 9: 7 (Best Bet) with 8 and 6

Race 10: 8 (Best Bet) with 3 and 5

Race 11: 1A, 12 and 6
