Much The “Best” At Monmouth (6/6/15)

Jun 6th, 2015 | By | Category: Monmouth, Today's Picks

Fast and good for the Saturday card — while it’s Belmont Stakes Day in NY, there is a competitive card here, so let’s see how I do during the downtime in NY.

In race 7, Best Actor (#1) runs well fresh for crafty trainer who is hot here and likes a course with some give — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 12, 6 and 7.

In race 10, Dickinson (#3) should be the main speed in this mile affair and wire them as the favorite — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 7 and 4.

In race 9, Subpoena (#7) doesn’t win often, but is 9 of 19 in the exacta, gets an extra 1/16th to set up late run and has the back numbers to win this — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 8 and 9,  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 1, 3 and 6

Race 2: 5, 7 and 6

Race 3: 3, 4 and 6

Race 4: 9, 7 and 8

Race 5: 8, 9 and 5

Race 6: 8, 4 and 9

Race 7: 1 (Best Bet) with 12, 6 and 7

Race 8: 8, 9 and 7

Race 9: 7 (Best Bet) with 8 and 9

Race 10: 3 (Best Bet) with 7 and 4

A “Classy” Day Of Racing At Belmont (6/6/15)

Jun 6th, 2015 | By | Category: Belmont, Today's Picks, Triple Crown

Fast and good for the Belmont Stakes Day card — one of the best days of NY racing in a long time, so let’s see how I handicap today!

In race 3, The Grade 2 Woody Stephens, Classy Class (#6) is 2 for 2 at Belmont and will be a great price on the cut back with a heavy Pletcher favorite in the race (remember yesterday if you are backing Pletcher) — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 4 and 3.

In race 4, The Grade 3 Jaipur, Mosler (#13) wants turf, should get a great stalking trip and run these down late at 7-2 — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 1 and 8.

In race 7, The Grade 1 Acorn, Shook Up (#8) ships in for crafty connections and gets a very fast pace to set up late run — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 11 and 10.

In race 11, The Grade 1 Belmont Stakes, American Pharoah (#5) is the best horse of his generation, but will be 1-5 and may be pressed by Materiality (#8), which could set it up for Frosted (#6) to get up late.  In the 1.5 million guaranteed pick 4 (races 8-11), use my top 3 selections in each race for .50 (a $41 investment) and for the 1 million guaranteed pick 6 (races 6-11), single my choices in races 6 and 7 and use my top 2 choices in race 9 with my top 3 choices in races 8, 10 and 11 (a $108 dollar ticket).  Here’s the entire card and good luck!
