“Jazz” Lends A Hand At Monmouth (6/9/12)

Jun 9th, 2012 | By | Category: Monmouth, Today's Picks

Fast and firm for the Saturday card — I’m sure everyone will be concentrating on Belmont, but if you are playing Monmouth, here are my selections.

In race 11, Jazzy Idea (#9) will appreciate 5 1/2 furlongs on the turf and can run these down late to post the victory — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 4 and 1.

In race 7, Glass Art (#2) is the main speed and can wire these on turf — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #3.

In race 4, Edge of Glory (#3) is the in-form closer in a race packed with speed — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 4 and 1. Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 1 and 5

Race 2: 3 and 2

Race 3: 4 and 2

Race 4: 3 (Best Bet) with 4 and 1

Race 5: 5 and 7

Race 6: 5, 6 and 4

Race 7: 2 (Best Bet) and 3

“Isn’t He Clever” At Belmont (6/9/12)

Jun 9th, 2012 | By | Category: Belmont, Today's Picks, Triple Crown

Fast and firm for the Belmont Stakes card — a great day of racing despite the defection of I’ll Have Another from the big race.  Only had two winners on top during Friday’s card, but I love the card today and hope to reward my readers with some very profitable selections!  Let’s hope the rain holds off!

In race 9, The Grade 2 Woody Stephens, Isn’t He Clever (#8) reminds me a little of Caleb’s Posse in that he may be a one-turn sprinter at heart and 7 furlongs might just be up his alley after those routes against some of the best 3 year olds in training — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 2 and 6.

In race 10, The Grade 1 Manhattan Handicap, Al Khali (#3) prefers firm turf and has raced well on the local course — has stepped up with monster performances against Grade 1 opposition and Mott has him primed today for the upset at a decent price.  Key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 2 and 7.

In race 1, Night Brigade (#7) is not the most reliable sort, but gets Castellano and Galluscio in his corner today and can hang on at 3-1.  Key in all early multi-race wagers and play an exacta box with #’s 11 and 4.

In race 11, The Belmont Stakes, Paynter (#9) is the wise guy selection given his early speed and the Baffert connection — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 3 and 5.  Here’s the entire card and good luck to everyone!

Race 1: 7 (Best Bet) with 11 and 4

Race 2: 2, 6 and 4

Race 3: 4 and 7

Race 4: 7, 9 and 2

Race 5: 5, 9 and 10

Race 6: 9 with 4 and 3

Race 7: 7 with 6 and 8

Race 8: 1 and 5

Race 9: 8 (Best Bet) with 2 and 6

Race 10: 3 (Best Bet) with 2 and 7

Race 11: 9 with 3 and 5

Race 12: 3 with 9 and 1

Race 13: 9, 1 and 12
