Ready To “Strike” At Churchill (10/30)

Oct 30th, 2011 | By | Category: Churchill, Today's Picks

Fast and firm for the opening day card at Churchill — thought I would get a head start on handicapping this track in preparation for the Breeders Cup and Belmont is canceled so let’s see how I do with 2 year olds today.

In race 8, The Grade 3 Iroquois, Mr. Bowling (#7) cuts back to one turn off runaway win going longer — gets a good stalking outside post and can run down the leaders late.  Key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #4.

In race 5, Amie’s Dini (#3) romped in debut against lesser, but gets a great pace set-up and can repeat at a price — key in all multi-race wagers and play an exacta box with #’s 9 and 8.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 3, 6 and 8

Race 2: 7, 6 and 2

Race 3: 2, 1 and 7

Race 4: 4, 8 and 5

Race 5: 3 (Best Bet) with 9 and 8

Race 6: 5, 9 and 10

Race 7: 7 with 4 and 5

Race 8: 7 (Best Bet) and 4

Race 9: 8, 3 and 11

Race 10: 11, 4 and 9

Race 11: 11, 6 and 12

Oct 29th, 2011 | By | Category: Keeneland, Today's Picks

Fast and off the turf for the Saturday card — it’s been a difficult meet so let’s see if we can get out on closing day!

In race 10, Tycoon (#11) goes for hot connections and has done little wrong in two starts on poly — key in all multi-race wagers and play an exacta box with #’s 4 and 6.

In race 8, Deal Making (#7) benefits from race being taken off the turf and can win this at a decent price.  Key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 11 and 6.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 8, 4 and 9

Race 2: 9, 11 and 12

Race 3: 4 with 8 and 3

Race 4: 4 and 5

Race 5: 8, 4 and 10

Race 6: 10 and 2

Race 7: 1, 3 and 10

Race 8: 7 (Best Bet) with 11 and 6

Race 9: 5 and 8

Race 10: 11 (Best Bet) with 4 and 6

An “Endless” Card At Belmont (10/29)

Oct 29th, 2011 | By | Category: Belmont, Today's Picks

Sloppy and off the turf for the Saturday card — a sea of scratches and the card is ruined, but handicappers have to be ready so see how I do today.

In race 10, Endless Circle (#16) should beat these from memory and the wet track helps — key in all multi-race wagers and play an exacta box with #3. Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 13 and 2

Race 2: 2 and 3

Race 3: 5 and 3

Race 4: 14 and 1A

Race 5: 5 and 12

Race 6: 7, 9 and 3

Race 7: 13 and 2

Race 8: 3 and 1A

Race 9: 4 and 7

Race 10: 16 (Best Bet) and 3

“Catch” A Winner At Belmont (10/23)

Oct 23rd, 2011 | By | Category: Belmont, Today's Picks

Fast and good for the Sunday card — got shut out yesterday because I did not account for the speed bias on the main track so I will try and do better today.

In race 8, Catch a Thief (#1) is the main speed from the rail and has run well on the local track — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #6.

In race 9, St. Lucy (#2) cuts back to 7 furlongs on the turf and can sit a good stalking trip and run down the leaders late — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 3 and 5.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 10, 5 and 2

Race 2: 7, 1 and 8

Race 3: 2 and 4

Race 4: 2 and 6

Race 5: 2, 6 and 9

Race 6: 1 with 5 and 10

Race 7: 10, 3 and 1

Race 8: 1 (Best Bet) and 6

Race 9: 2 (Best Bet) with 3 and 5

Race 10: 4, 3 and 1
