Don’t Pass “Hall” At Belmont (9/24)

Sep 24th, 2011 | By | Category: Belmont, Today's Picks

Muddy and no turf racing on a wet Saturday in NY, but the races remain competitive and there may be some decent prices for those who can handle the track.  In race 9, The Grade 2 Gallant Bloom Handicap, Tamarind Hall (#4) was beaten by Tar Heel Mom in The Ballarina but is 3 for 3 on wet tracks and can sit a perfect stalking trip off the inside two and win this at a decent price — key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #6.

In race 6, Mine Over Matter (#4) has done well in one turn races at a mile or more, likes Belmont and gets an off track — may be a decent price in this well matched field.  Key in all doubles and pick 3′s and play an exacta box with #’s 3 and 2.  I also like races 1 and 5.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 10 and 5

Race 2: 3, 6 and 2

Race 3: 9 and 6

Race 4: 6 and 5

Race 5: 14, 16 and 9

Race 6: 4 (Best Bet) with 3 and 2

Race 7: 1 and 9

Race 8: 16 and 13

Race 9: 4 (Best Bet) and 6

Race 10: 14, 8 and 15
