“Oak” Is Mighty At Saratoga (8/6)

Aug 6th, 2011 | By | Category: Saratoga, Today's Picks

Fast and firm for the Saturday card — one of the most competitive and difficult cards I’ve every had the pleasure of handicapping.  I’m still recovering from my week at Saratoga, where I had my ups and downs, but came out a winner.  I want to thank Lois from Pucker Ridge for the great seats and for my time with her horses and I also appreciate my friend Brian and his friends for getting us a great table at the track and for their company!

On Saturday, I listed 5 winners (2 on top, both best bets!) and had a nice exacta boxes in race 2 and 4 for over $80.  Let’s see how I do today!  In race 10, The Grade 1 Whitney, Giant Oak (#4) has a great closing kick when right, wasn’t beaten much in last grade 1 when marooned from a bad post, gets a very fast pace today and is working bullets for this — I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3′s and playing an exacta box with #’s 8 and 2.

In race 11, Southbeachsandy (#11) gets a great stalking post and cuts back to 7 furlongs for hot connections — I’m keying in all multi-race wagers and playing an exacta box with #’s 8 and 9.

In race 5, Five Sigma Event (#8) will be in perfect stalking position turning for home and take this — I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3′s and playing an exacta box with #’s 7 and 4.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!
