Seeing My Favorite “Uncle” At Belmont (5/14)

May 14th, 2011 | By | Category: Belmont, Today's Picks

Fast and firm for the difficult Saturday card at Belmont.  I’m actually going to the track today to speak about handicapping with a group of “singles” that is having an event — let’s see if I can help them win some money today.  Who knows, the “married guy” might end up being the most popular guy there. Remember, the picks don’t reflect scratches since I’m posting so early.

In race 9, The Grade 2 Peter Pan, Uncle Brent (#2) is lightly raced shipping in from Oaklawn and had done nothing wrong in 3-race career.  Been working bullets for this and gets Johnny V. — I’m keying in all multi-race wagers and playing an exacta box with #’s 11 and 8.

In race 1, Strong Impact (#2) runs well of a layoff and can adapt to any pace scenario — can see him stalking right behind the speeds and getting a nice inside trip at 3-1.  I’m keying in the early double and pick 3 and playing an exacta box with #’s 1 and 5.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 2 (Best Bet) with 1 and 5

Race 2: 8, 4 and 6

Race 3: 3 and 1

Race 4: 5 and 3

Race 5: 8 and 4

Race 6: 6 and 1

Race 7: 1 (Best Bet) and 3

Race 8: 10, 9 and 5

Race 9: 2 (Best Bet) with 11 and 8

Race 10: 3 with 8 and 11
