Do The “Moonwalk” At Belmont (4/30)

Apr 30th, 2011 | By | Category: Belmont, Today's Picks

Fast and good with race 7 off the turf at Belmont.  It’s great to be back at Belmont and the card is much better than anything we saw at Aqueduct on a Saturday in the Winter.

In race 8, Moonwalk Beauty (#3) cuts back to a turf sprint which may be to her liking and has run well over a non-firm turf course — I’m keying in all doubles an pick 3′s and playing an exacta box with #5.

In race 7, Wishful Tomcat (#3) is the main speed in this off the turf event and has no excuse today — I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3′s and playing an exacta box with #12.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 6 and 3

Race 2: 7 and 5

Race 3: 12 and 4

Race 4: 3 and 1A

Race 5: 8 with 3 and 7

Race 6: 9 and 5

Race 7: 3 (Best Bet) and 12

Race 8: 3 (Best Bet) and 5

Somewhere Over The “Rainbow” At Gulfstream (4/23)

Apr 23rd, 2011 | By | Category: Today's Picks

Fast and firm for the Saturday card and the Rainbow Pick 6 will be paid out today which could include a pot in the millions.  The problem is that those races are very difficult (races 7-12), but there’s a lot of money at stake so let’s see what happens. I wish my two best bets were in the pick 6 sequence, but they aren’t so we will have to go pretty deep in some races to hit it.

In race 6, Sunshine Rambler (#6) gets a better post and will be in a perfect stalking spot at 1 mile on the turf — I’m keying in all multi-race wagers and playing an exacta box with #’s 9 and 8.

In race 5, Shrewd One (#6) goes second off the layoff and should be able to turn the tables on Ask Joe (#3) today — I’m keying in all multi-race wagers and playing an exacta box with #3.

For the pick 6, here’s my ticket:

Race 7: 11, 13 and 5

Race 8: 9, 4 and 2

Race 9: 7, 6, 10 and 9

Race 10: 9, 11 and 2

Race 11: 1

Race 12: 1, 6 and 12

It’s $ 648 for $2, $324 for a $1 and $32.40 for a dime.  Good luck!  Here’s the entire card.

Race 1: 2 and 1

Race 2: 6 and 2

Race 3: 8, 10 and 2

Race 4: 2 and 3

Race 5: 6 (Best Bet) and 3

Race 6: 6 (Best Bet) with 9 and 8

Race 7: 11, 13 and 5

Race 8: 9, 13 and 4

Race 9: 7, 6 and 10

Race 10: 9, 11 and 2

Race 11: 1, 12 and 8

Race 12: 1, 6 and 12.

“Lark” Is A Lock At Aqueduct (4/23)

Apr 23rd, 2011 | By | Category: Today's Picks

Sloppy and yielding (only race 8 remains on the turf) for the Saturday.  Had a flat bet profit yesterday and things are much better since they went to the main track.  Belmont is only a few weeks away!

In race 10, Al’s Lark (#6) loves an off track and is now the main speed and should take this from on or need the lead — I’m keying in all multi-race wagers and playing an exacta box with #11.

In race 9, The Grade 2 Jerome, Rattlesnake Bridge (#5) is bred to love the mud and has run well at a flat mile — may be this good.  I’m keying in all multi-race wagers and playing an exacta box with #8.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 4 and 7

Race 2: 11 with 10 and 1

Race 3: 7 and 1

Race 4: 6 and 7

Race 5: 5 with 7 and 1

Race 6: 2B, 10 and 6

Race 7: 6, 2 and 5

Race 8: 5, 7 and 3

Race 9: 5 (Best Bet) and 8

Race 10: 6 (Best Bet) and 11

“Nay” Finds A Way At Keeneland (4/23)

Apr 23rd, 2011 | By | Category: Keeneland, Today's Picks

Fast but off the turf for the very difficult Saturday card at Keeneland.  I must say it has been a challenge during the meet — haven’t had a lot of winners on top and when I do list some nice prices, I can’t seem to have them in consecutive races.  Oh well, let’s see how I do today!

In race 8, The Giant’s Causeway, Chantilly Nayla (#9) is much better on the synthetic and has run well against Grade 2 company locally and gets the call in a race taken off the turf.  I’m keying in all multi-race wagers and playing an exacta box with #4. Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 1: 6 and 4

Race 2: 6 and 1

Race 3: 6 with 1 and 3

Race 4: 5 and 8

Race 5: 5 with 11 and 3

Race 6: 8 and 3

Race 7: 1 and 3

Race 8: 9 (Best Bet) and 4

Race 9: 3 and 2

Race 10: 7, 12 and 2
