Fast and firm for Sunday’s card at The Spa — we should call Saratoga America’s “super highway” considering how speed favoring the turf and dirt tracks have been in the last few weeks without any rain.  Clearly, I haven’t gotten the message because I’m still picking closers in races where there is a lot of speed on paper instead of taking the speeds — I’ve got two days to get my act together!

In race 10, The Grade 1 Spinaway, R Heat Lightning (#7) is one of 4 Pletcher entries and can stalk a speed laden field and run them down late — I’m keying in all doubles and the late pick 3 and playing an exacta box with #3.

In race 8, Thunder Way (#4) gets very firm turf today and has raced will in any pace scenario — lightly raced and ready to win for Nicks today.  I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with #’s 1 and 10.

In race 1, Summer Patriot (#6) loves the local course and has run against much better — can stay close to a fast pace and get up in time at a decent price.  I’m keying in the early double and pick 3 and playing across the board! Here’s the entire card and good luck!
