“Good” Buy At Saratoga (9/6)

Sep 6th, 2010 | By mircon1 | Category: Saratoga, Today’s Picks

Fast and firm — it’s been one of the driest and speed-favoring meets in memory at Saratoga.  You would think that knowing the biases, especially on the inner turf, would have made the handicapping easier, but all the 2 year old turf races and horses trying the turf for first time, plus the level of competition made it a nightmare at times, but always fun and exciting.  Since my best bet won yesterday in The Spinaway (R Heat Lightning), it insured that my best bet picks will return a profit — let’s see if I can add to that on today’s card!

In race 2, Good Prospect (#3) should sit the garden trip right behind all the speed and be ready to pounce at the 1/8th pole — I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with #’s 6 and 2.

In race 4, The Frank Sullivan, Ravalo (#6) ran his eyeballs out in The Troy against some of these in turf debut, benefits by the scratches of some speed horses so he should wire these with the bias.  I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3’s and playing an exacta box with #’s 3 and 2.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Race 2: 3 (Best Bet) with 6 and 2
