Fast and firm on a glorious Saturday at The Spa.  Had the late double cold on Friday’s card which gave me a flat win profit for the day — let’s hope I can keep the momentum going right away on Saturday’s card!

In race 1, Akilina (#3) will be right up there in a paceless race on turf and should get the jump on the closers to post a mild upset in The William B. Fasig.  I’m keying in the early double and pick 3 and playing an exacta box with Chestoria (#1).

In race 4, Ducale (#3) is the absolute speed and should forget to stop against these at 6 furlongs — I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3′s and playing an exacta box with Chuckie’s Honor (#5) and Ambassador Ridge (#8).  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Fast and firm on one of the prettiest days you will ever see at Saratoga!  Not so pretty yesterday when I only listed 3 winners, 1 on top, and I was absolutely nowhere in the pick 6.  I have a good feeling about today and am excited about my selections.

In race 8, Ride On Josephine (#7) ran well in only two turf starts and gets a contested pace to run at today — I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3′s and playing an exacta box with Carmen’t Kiss (#9) and Witchesofwestfield (#8).

In race 5, Diva In Training (#7) gets a very quick pace to run at and should have some bottom off the switch from a turf route and has Rudy Rodriguez in his corner — I’m keying in all doubles and pick 3′s and playing an exacta box with Strawberry Blush (#1A) who has Cohen riding in a race where he is not riding for Jacobson — always a good angle! Fast and firm with a beautiful day on tap at Saratoga for the Thursday card.  However, the races are impossible to handicap because they are so competitive which should make for some good prices — especially in the pick 6, which has a $40,000 carryover from Wednesday plus a $100,000 guarantee from NYRA!

In race 9, Ketubah (#7) goes second off a layoff for Clement and Velasquez and gets a much better pace scenario to make one run, which is his winning move.  I’m going to single in the pick 6 and play an exacta box with Chorus Music (#9).  The rest of the pick 6 races (5-10) are very difficult, but my ticket looks like this:  Race 5: 3, 7, 8; Race 6: 11, 8, 7; Race 7: 7, 5 9; Race 8: 6 and 1; Race 9: 7; Race 10: 1, 5 and 7. The cost is $324 for a $2 ticket!  Remember, this is without scratches and assuming all races remain on the turf so please play accordingly!
