Muddy and soft at the soggy Spa today and races 1, 4 and 7 have been taken off the turf.  Mother Nature is still tormenting us so there may be more rain during the card so make sure you check out the track condition before making your bets.  I’m handicapping race 9 and 11 to stay on the turf.

In race 1, Papa Jerry (#5) loves an off track and can step up in class and win this at a decent price.  I’m using him in an exacta box with Phantom Gunslinger (#11) and Extinguish (#4) and in doubles and pick 3’s.

In race 11, Freedom Rings (#6) is lightly raced and trying winners for the first time, but may have a class edge on these and likes a soft course.  I’m playing her in an exacta box with Lemon Punch (#1) and Mythical Yarn (#8) and in doubles and pick 3’s.  Here’s the entire card and good luck!

Just when the dragon was staggering and my confidence building, leave it to Mother Nature to rain on my parade.  And rain…and rain.  All races except race 8 came off the turf, which left me with only 6 races on the card.  Listed the exacta boxes in races 1 and 2, which gave me an 8-race winning streak carried over from Thursday.  Ended up with two winners on top and listed 4 — the track may have gotten drenched but I was still floating.  Oh well, put on the rain gear and see me on Saturday!
